The Most Thin Smartphone

Samsung Galaxy S II have a real small thickness: 8,49 mm. As is informed in the official press release, it's the most thin smart-phone in the World. Galaxy S II will work under control of Google Android 2.3.

The novelty received the Dual Core processor with frequency of 1GHz. Productivity of the new processor twice above productivity of the processor used in the 1st generation of Galaxy S. Thus the graphic subsystem of new model exceeds index Galaxy S five times!
Galaxy S II is equipped with the display with a diagonal of 4,27 inches and resolution 800 x 480 pixels. First generation Galaxy S has the four-inch display with the same resolution.

The new model have a two camera. The 2 Mpx camera on the front panel will be used for video calls. On the back panel will be allocated the 8 Mpx camera with a recording capability of Full HD video-clips.
Smartphone sales in some countries of Europe and southeast Asia begin in February, 2011. However novelty cost yet is not informed.

3D Smartphone by LG Electronics

The LG Electronics company announced smartphone Optimus 3D, working on the basis of mobile OS Android. The novelty has been presented at the Mobile World Congress (Barcelona).

Optimus 3D is equipped with the stereoscopic display with a diagonal of 4,3 inches which allows to view 3D-videoclips on the smart phone screen without special glasses. Switching between usual 2D — and the 3D-dimensional image will happen at pushing of the special button.
Also the smart-phone has the special 3D-camera which is able to create a stereoscopic video. Thus, HDMI 3D video-clips it will be possible to view on the exterior display, including on the 3D-TV.

Besides stereoscopic functions, Optimus 3D receives the Dual Core processor by the Texas Instruments, and also 4Gb of two-channel memory DDR2. The smart-phone will be delivered with 8Gb flash-memory. The smartphone will be delivered with pre-installed version of Windows Mobile 7.
Novelty cost yet is not called. In some countries new Optimus 3D goes on sale in May, 2011.

Facebook announced free mobile service Zero

Facebook announced free mobile service Facebook Zero on Mobile World Congress 2010. New service becomes the facilitated version of a mobile portal m.facebook.com, informs TechCrunch.

To text portal Facebook Zero cellular operators will give access to the subscribers in the nearest some weeks. New service will differ from existing service m.facebook.com absence of multimedia possibilities, for example viewing of photos of friends.

Mobile service m.facebook.com allows all users Facebook to update the status message, to read a news line and to look through profiles of friends on any mobile phone with an exit in the Internet. According to blog Inside Facebook, at the moment access to service m.facebook.com is given by 80 operators in 32 countries of the world.

At the moment the number of users of mobile portals Facebook makes 100 million persons, or a quarter from the general number of subscribers Facebook.

Facebook also suggests users to load the mobile applications developed for mobile phones of known manufacturers. Among them Nokia, Sony-Ericsson, BlackBerry and Apple iPhone, and also devices from OS Google Android and Windows Mobile.
