Samsung prepares touch AMOLED-displays

Korean corporation Samsung Mobile Display has informed on January, 31st, that in March, 2010 will begin a batch production of the first-ever AMOLED-displays with a touch covering. About it writes Korea IT Times.

NEW AMOLED TECHNOLOGY

The diagonal of touch displays with the active matrix, working on organic light-emitting diodes, will make 3,3 inches, and the permission — 480x800 pixels. The thickness of a touch covering thus will make only 0,001 mm.

Technology Samsung allows to integrate a touch surface into the screen and by that not to worsen quality of the image how it will make a separate element. In Samsung Mobile Display count, that touch AMOLED-panels will allow the company to expand considerably presence as in the markets of AMOLED-screens.
