Google has finished high-speed selection

Corporation Google has finished a demands acceptance for high-speed Internet connection, is informed in blog Google. From February, 10th till March, 26th, all interested persons had chance to fill the corresponding form on web site Google.

50 thousand lucky beggars

Individual demands for connection of the high-speed Internet channel have submitted more than 194,000 persons. In total at initial stage Google plans to provide with the high-speed Internet of 50,000 persons. In the long term number of participants of experiment can be increased to 500,000...

Within the next months, representatives of Google will analyse the submitted demands. In particular, employees of Google will visit some cities, will hold meetings with representatives of local authorities, and also will consult with the foreign organisations. Winners of competition will be declared in the end of a year.

Division of Google powers

During experiment, representatives of Google plan to test web appendices of new generation, and also new ways of a lining of fibre-optical cables. Thus the corporation is not going to begin granting of paid access to the Internet. Google will be engaged only in a lining of channels, and foreign partners will connect subscribers to the Internet.
