Chand Baori The Surprising well

Chand Baori, in the village of Abhaneri near Bandikui, Rajasthan. Stepwells, also called bawdi or baoli are in essence wells in which the water can be reached by descending a set of steps. They may be covered and protected, and are often of architectural significance.

Built back in the 10th century, the incredible well of Chand Baori, India was a practical solution to the water problem in the area. The arid climate forced the locals to dig deep for a dependable water source, one that would last throughout an entire year. Chand Baori well is 30 meters deep, it has 13 floors and 3,500 steps. Legends say that ghosts build it in one night and that it has so many steps to make it impossible for someone to retrieve a coin once it’s been dropped in the well.

Three side open building constructed at its best, I dont know where it is exactly, but i allready seen this types of building in Gurgaon (India) Kent, near railway platform.

Moon Shaped Skyscraper

K0rean Heerim Architects has tried to reinvent the skyscraper with their two projects in central Asian republic of Azerbaijan. The two skyscrapers will be built in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan with a view on the Caspian sea . One building is called Full Moon Bay the other is Crescent and Caspian Plus. The two are going to be built on both side of the bay, acting as gateway markers. So far the pictures look fantastic and I really like the gateway markers idea.

World’s Largest Arch Bridge in Dubai

Amazing! Dubai is going for an $817-million project on building the world’s largest arch bride, at 617-feet tall and 1-mile in length. The construction will start in March and it is slated to be complete in 2012. What's the future for a cargo plane after it was shot down?

Well, it can start a bar and restaurant business. Not bad. Don't take it as a joke. Fairchild C-123 relates its name with one of the biggest scandals in the mid 1980's. That involved the Reagan Administration's bizarre of network for arms sales to Iran. This very cargo plane was shot down on October 5, 1986, while delivering supplies to the Nicaraguan Contras.

However, now it's known as El Avion Restaurant and bar. Ready to serve you serve you food and drinks at cost little more than usual ones. Pack your bags with lots of currency and enjoy meals under the wings, built around a 1954 Model. The most charming feature other than the menu and plane itself is the scenic beauty around seacoast blended with mild reddishness at evening sunset. I think other planes should seek inspiration from this unique one among them after their retirement.

It is not an ordinary aircraft but a restaurant & bar. The plane itself became popular long before the transformation. In 1986 it was transporting weapons from the USA to the Nicaragua smugglers but was brought down. The plane was left on the Costa-Rica coast where the locals transformed into the “El Avion” restaurant. It is located on a hilltop on the road between “Manuel Antonio” and “Quepos” in the pacific coast in Costa Rica..

Peking Airport - China

In Peking build the new terminal which on capacity and efficiency will surpass all nowadays existing. Probably though there the problem with delays of flights will be solved once and for all. Except for that at the airport conditions for convenience of passengers will be created all. Construction will be completed in 2008.
